Culture Triathlon Goes Under The Hammer For Claire House

23-10-2006

City Residential’s Culture Cities Triathlon is on the road again, next month, and the team has organised an exclusive evening to raise funds for Claire House.

The firm of property specialists is hosting a charity auction and champagne reception at The Place on Victoria Street, on Wednesday 1st November from 5.30pm.

City Residential has secured some amazing items for auction, including a signed shirt from Brazilian football legend, Pele. Sports fans will also have the opportunity to spa over boxing gloves, signed by British Welterweight hero Ricky ‘The Hitman’ Hatton.

WAGS wannabes can bid for £800 worth of teeth whitening and non-surgical cosmetic injections, courtesy of Pall Mall Dental Clinic plus Birkenhead Car and Van hire is offering free hire of a Mercedes CLS - including insurance thrown in by Ajax brokers - for the weekend.

Bold Street’s home store, Utility has kindly donated a piece of designer home ware, plus guests who are in need of a bit of pampering can bid for an overnight stay with breakfast at the exclusive boutique hotel, 62 Castle Street.

The VIP evening will not only boost funds for Claire House, it will also give the Culture Cities Triathlon team a final opportunity to drum up support for the second leg of the challenge – a marathon in Athens.

Organiser Alan Bevan hopes to raise more than £45k this year. He says: “In four weeks time on November 5th, 18 of us will be off to Athens for the Athens Classic Marathon - yes the one Paula Radcliffe failed to complete.

“We’ve been training hard and we just need one final push to get the rest of the business community behind us. So we’re asking our VIP guests to dig deep and bid on their dream item or donate money towards the triathlon.”
The Culture Cities Triathlon has already received sponsorship support from North West businesses including: Merepark, Living Space Refurbishments, Paver Smith and DWF.

Participants from firms such as Brabners Chaffe Street and City Residential, will run 26.2 miles in 20 degree heat with and all money raised will go towards Claire House.

The event is by invitation only and interested parties should email Katrina.skelland@cityresidential.co.uk
